Dantrolene always available
‘Malignant hyperthermia’, a rare syndrome that occurs in approximately 1 in 60,000 people, is completely undetectable and symptoms can appear during general anesthesia. When symptoms appear, body temperature rises rapidly by about 1 degree every five minutes, muscles become stiff, and it can even result in death. Dantrolene is the only treatment for ‘malignant hyperthermia’. Therefore, at Seojin Plastic Surgery, we always have dantrolene on hand in preparation for any emergency, however unlikely.
UPS: uninterruptible power supply equipment
All medical equipment in the operating room requires a lot of power. If a power outage or similar situation occurs during surgery, a dangerous situation may occur for the patient.
