Precautions After Skin Tag Removal

  • Light makeup, washing and showering are possible with the provided recovery patch. Please replace the patch if it falls off or gets wet during the shower.
  • Please continue using the recovery patch (DuoDerm bandage) for the recommended period, approximately 7 days, replacing it with a new one if it starts to swell, approximately every 2-3 days.
  • Please avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming, alcohol, and smoking for about 2 weeks after laser treatment to prevent inflammation and pigmentation.
  • Regular use of sunscreen is essential to protect against direct sunlight after laser treatment and prevent pigmentation.
  • If pigmentation occurs, redness may persist for about 3 months, but will gradually fade.
  • It is normal for skin tags to appear larger after the treatment due to the swelling; this is a common response and should not be a cause for concern.
  • Some larger skin tags may not be fully treated in a single session and may require additional sessions to be completely removed, recommended at intervals of 1-2 months apart.
  • In the case of surgical removal treatment,  stitches will be removed 7 days after the procedure for facial skin, 14 days for body skin. Until stitch removal, please continue using the waterproof recovery patch (DuoDerm bandage) as instructed, to cover the wound, and follow the scheduled hospital visits.
